Work out for a hour a day…but ruin it in just a few minutes. That’s the truth. If you have goals, you have to learn to not only WORK for them, but EAT for them!
Your nutrition is just as…if not MORE important than what workout you’re doing that day. Watch what you eat!
Yet if you’re only looking at this in terms of calories: Uh, where exactly do you think that people get the energy to run those half marathons? Such exertion wouldn’t be possible without that intake.
Your body needs food. It needs calories in order to survive. If you don’t sit down and eat hundreds, if not thousands, of calories throughout the day, then you’re not going to live for much longer. Framing calories and exercise in the manner used above is irresponsible - It’s a scare tactic. If you want to discourage people from consuming certain products or push them towards a more effective racing diet, then it’s best to actually do that instead of framing calories as the evil here. Focusing solely on calories is not the way to go about promoting a healthy diet.
Because yes, you may eat a quick meal that contains 1,366 calories. But your body can burn that off just by sleeping for 20 hours. You can literally eat that fast food meal and lie in bed for the rest of the day, and still burn excess calories. These numbers are not something to be afraid of.
1,366 is not even your total caloric intake for the day. The average person needs more! You don’t even have to run a half marathon every day in order to require that many calories. You need that much food simply for the sake of staying alive. You are not “ruining” anything just by eating a certain number.
1366 is low as fuck. You should be eating more. Op, don’t be spreading ed mentality. We need folks to be eating 1500+ calories everyday just to make sure your body is running fine. Y’all not 5 years old.
